BEAT AF

The BEAT AF study aims to make a difference in the management of atrial fibrillation. It involves 9 European clinical centres to prove that the pulse field ablation method, is more effective and safer than radiofrequency, the reference treatment to date. It will also reduce recurrences, which are still frequent. For more information.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement N° 945125

ECSTATIC

The aim of this ERC project is to improve knowledge in the characterisation of cardiac rhythm disorders and create new diagnostic and treatment tools by developing a non-invasive modality (electro-structural tomography), combining magnetic resonance and non-invasive cardiac mapping.

This project has received funding from the European Research Council under the 'Horizon 2020' programme: EU Research and Innovation Programme 2014-2020: ERC-2016-STG, (Research Agreement n° 715093).

INEURHEART

The start-up inHeart has developed a system that creates 3D images of the anatomy and origins of arrhythmias in detail. This system helps cardiologists to control their catheter in real time. The aim of the project is to conduct a clinical trial to demonstrate a gain in efficiency, and also a gain from an economic point of view.

MAP IN HEART

The objective of this project is to develop a new 3D image processing technology (MAP-IN-HEART) to help cardiologists to identify ventricular tachycardia ablation targets and to guide ablation procedures in a non-invasive and highly precise way.

Project Holder : Hubert Cochet

MICROCARD

The MICROCARD project aims to improve cardiac modeling. Its purpose is to develop a sophisticated and powerful platform that doesn't exist to date to create numerical cardiac activity models at a cellular resolution.

PERSONALIZEDAF

PersonalizeAF aims to provide an innovative multi-national, multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary research and training programme for new technologies and innovative strategies for the individualized characterization of the AF substrate and to increase the effectiveness of treatments.

Project holder : Nejib Zemzemi

PIC

PIC aims to brings together 15 future innovation leaders able to articulate and realize personalized in silico cardiology (PIC). The project will address the specific challenges of the barriers between sectors and disciplines, particularly between clinicians and engineers.

SICVALVES

Multiscale modeling of valvular heart diseases - understanding the mechanisms of adverse remodling to improv

Valvular Heart Disease in ageing populations is a real public health problem. The main objective of the project is to develop and validate computer models in order to study the mechanisms responsible for the disease and help clinicians to better plan therapies.

Project holder : Jason Bayer

SIMCARDIOTEST

This project aims to develop new tools to predict cardiac pathologies. It brings together 10 international partners who will develop a centralized and secure platform where virtual clinical trials could be conducted to test drugs and medical devices.
