ANCRE awards 2021: congratulations to Buntheng Ly and Aurélien Maillot

Buntheng Ly, a PhD student in the multimodal data science team at Liryc, and Aurélien Maillot, engineer in the imaging team, won the ANCRE award on Thursday December 2nd at the 4th edition of the Liryc International Scientific Workshop.

Every year, the international scientific workshop of Liryc gives young researchers the opportunity to highlight their investment in innovative research projects they are working on by applying for the ANCRE award.

Funded by the ANCRE association, a long-time donor of the Institute, this prize rewards the best scientific presentations evaluated by the Scientific advisory board of the Institute. This award is a tribute to the young generation of researchers part of Liryc’s teams.

This year, Buntheng Ly won the ANCRE AWARD 2021 for his project on "Scar-Related Ventricular Arrhythmia Prediction using Explaibled Deep Learning" and Aurélien Maillot for his project on "Explaible automated inversion time selection for fully automated black-blood late gadolinium enhancement cardiac imaging".

Jean-François Debrois, president of the ANCRE association, was present to hand out the award to the two winners.

"A very warm thank you to all of you, your work, have already contributed and will continue to contribute to save thousands of lives in the world.  I am pleased to be able to associate ANCRE's name to a prize that rewards two young researchers chosen for their work by an outstanding jury. ANCRE and its 500,000 members are for sure proud and happy to be by your side, and I even more so."

Congratulations to the winners and to all the candidates!
