Atrial fibrillation is the most common rhythm disorder, affecting more than 8 million people in Europe.
Ventricular fibrillation is primarily responsible for more than 50,000 sudden deaths in France each year or a sudden death every 10 minutes.
Heart failure affects 9 million people in Europe, including 1 million in France, or 1 in 10 hospital admissions.
In order to meet this major public health challenge, Liryc brings together in a single institute researchers, doctors, engineers, national and international experts around patients in a unique technological environment.
